Leeds 10k for PAFRAS

In July I'll be running the Run For All Leeds 10k to raise funds for PAFRAS, a Leeds Charity supporting refugees and asylum seekers in Leeds. A multi-cultural Leeds is a better Leeds for everyone and I wanted to do something to help an organisation supporting the people who need it most. Least year PAFRAS provide legal advice, mental health support and food parcels to over 500 people. Over half of the services users are ineligible for Home Office support or mainstream benefits while also have no right to work and so are fully dependent on the support that PAFRAS offers. By donating to PAFRAS you enable them to buy travel tickets needed to get people to important appointments, phone credit allowing them to stay in touch with loved ones near and far and of course provide much needed food packages.

    My training for the event is now underway. This morning I tested out the route from the start to Headingly. I signed up thinking that this race was on Kirkstall Road, so it's hillier than expected, but I'm taking it in my stride.
