As a councillor for Camden Town Ward, I see the impact of food poverty on local residents. So for the last 18 months, I have been picking up leftover food from local supermarkets and delivering it to the Castlehaven Food Bank. Unfortunately, after suffering a seizure, I can no longer drive, so I wanted to find another way to help.
I am dedicated to losing weight and maintaining a healthy lifestyle, so a friend suggested I do a sponsored slim. I currently weigh 16 stone, 13 lb, and I would like to lose at least 20 pounds by the 10th of December. I will eat less and exercise more to raise money for the Castlehaven Food Bank
The Castlehaven Food Bank began as a reaction to the Covid-19 pandemic, financial hardships and job losses in the local area. Over the last year, the demand for the Food Bank has doubled and is expected to increase with the cost of living crisis and the staggering energy prices, causing people to choose between heating or eating
I hope to raise at least £2000 for the Food Bank in time for Christmas. I will post regular updates on my weight loss, so please sponsor as generously as you can for each pound lost.
