I am attempting to run The Brighton Marathon on the 19th April 2020. i'm raising money for Friends Of Deep Griha, which raises funds for Deep Griha Society in Pune , India. This is a Charity I have worked with for the last 25 years undertaking Eye Examination trips where we test eyes of those who can't access affordable eye care and distribute spectacles to those who need them. We also refer those for need other treatment such as cataract operations. We have conducted approximately 25,000 eye examinations in this time and distributed around 20,000 pairs of spectacles .. Deep Griha is also involved in child care, women empowerment programmes, primary and secondary schooling, medical and health programmes . The Marathon will be especially important to me, as the founder of Deep Griha, Dr. Neela Onawale sadly passed away recently. However, the charity will continue in good hands as her daughter , Ashlesha, is making a marvellous job in continuing the work. Please sponsor me to help Deep Griha.
