About
The Montane Spine Mountain Rescue Team Challenge is a non-stop, 108 mile race along the Pennine Way between Edale in Derbyshire and Hawes in North Yorkshire with a time limit of 60 hours, for members of Mountain Rescue teams. "This challenging and technical section of the Pennine Way is a physically and psychologically demanding route that demands concentration, good physical fitness, resolve and respect." I’ll be setting off from Edale at 8 a.m. on Saturday 14th January with the other MR competitors and you can track my progress via the tracker that I’ll be carrying (see website https://thespinerace.com/ ). Depending on conditions (gales, snow, ice, rain, impassable rivers!) I’m hoping to complete the event in slightly better than my previous time of 36.5 hours (non-stop)!
