This year's annual Aylesbury United Football Club (AUFC) sponsored walk, will see a flock of Ducks supporters walk from Aylesbury to Leighton Town FC, marks the 18th season the Club has been without a permanent ground and home in Aylesbury. The walkers will reach Leighton Town FC in time for Aylesbury United's game against The Reds on Saturday 9th November. All money raised from this sponsored walk will be donated to AUFC's charity partner Youth Concern. AUFC have entered into a long term charity partnership with Youth Concern. Not only will AUFC and its supporters raise money for Youth Concern, we will also raise awareness of the fantastic work the charity does supporting young people across Aylesbury Vale. Last season AUFC and its supporters raised £2,541.75 for Youth Concern via our sponsored walk, a quiz night and a raffle at our Community Day. In addition circa 200kg of food was donated at one of games to their foodbank. Since our charity partnership concept began the club has raised more than £13,000 for the local charities involved. Youth Concern are a youth charity that support young people in Aylesbury Vale. They welcome all 13-25 year olds, but specialise in working with young people who face additional challenges including, but not limited to, those who are financially vulnerable, have mental health needs, homeless or at risk of homelessness, young carers, ‘looked after’ or affected by domestic/sexual violence or abuse. Youth Concern has a drop-in centre in Aylesbury which provides a range of activities and support.
