Historia

Sutton Trust Community Group is a small community based charity in the heart of Abbey Hulton. Home to a small community centre with onsite communal garden.

Open/Green spaces are therapeutic as they are quite restful places, our garden provide opportunities for light/medium exercise e.g. digging, planting, weeding, pruning as well as mental interest through designing and planning gardens and what/when to grow it.

Learning provides mental simulations, gaining confidence and improving self image which increases mental health.

We hold community events and celebrations e.g. Christmas Light Switch On and annual fireworks display. We run ongoing activities such as computer club, craft and sewing group, coffee morning and monthly children's discos.

We host activities that fulfil our charity objectives, improving mental health, reducing isolation, promoting physical health and well being, people learn skills that can help them gain employment but also improve their lives e.g. crafting, gardening. Other groups use our venue for similar benefits such as improving health and well being
