Hello All, as some of you may know a couple of years ago I did a 5K Swimathon on to raise money for our amazing All Star Trust charity, that enables children from less privileged backgrounds in London to experience Tennis and even take it to the performance level. This year I have planned to do a 2 mile swim in the Serpentine lake in Hyde Park on the 19th September, with my dear friend and fellow trustee Pete Brimelow. Regarding the date, sadly in the past few weeks a dear friend of mine has passed away very suddenly with cancer and his funeral/celebration of life is on the 19th of September. Those of you that know me well I have thought long and hard about trying to fit these both into the day but I’ve reflected I may end up not doing either properly and obviously need to give the main focus to my lovely friend and his friends & family . I find it really difficult asking for money, although I tried to be as generous as possible as a person in this life. My friend Pete has recently been to Canary wharf and is discovered it piece of open water that I can complete my 2 miles Swim as close as possible to the date of the 19th. I therefore ask you if there’s any chance you can donate a few pounds towards our charity which is totally run by volunteer trustees and our super chairman who does so much to help the project run successfully we would be very grateful 🙏❤️
