Every donation, from as little as *£1* will get you an entry in to the Prize Draw but act fast as the competition closes at midnight on Thursday 8th April 2021 and we aim to announce the lucky winner on Friday 9th April.

Teesside Samaritans is a charity that works across Middlesbrough, Stockton, Redcar and Hartlepool, offering emotional support for anyone who is going through a difficult time.    It has been a particularly testing time for those who are vulnerable and isolated within our community, and we engage with more than 1,000 people every month via telephone and email.    We are here to help people from all walks of life, though our current campaigning is particularly aimed at local men aged 25-65. In the UK, men are three times more likely to take their own lives, while suicide is the biggest killer of men under 50. A recent survey also found that two in five men in the UK aged 20-59 do not seek support because they prefer to try and solve their own problems.   We aim to change that perception, championing the benefits of getting in touch and seeking help when needed.   If you feel you want to contact Teesside Samaritans for support, please use 116 123 for a free non-traceable call, or email jo@samaritans.org.   Thanks to funding from a grassroots community grant from NHS England Suicide Prevention aiming to raise awareness for Teesside Samaritans and our vital work in the region.
