In February 2020, Staff at The Hive were told by a member of Bradford Council that they would be selling the field below the MUGA as well as the two current school sites once the new Primary school was built.
The Hive Silsden CIO submitted a 'Asset of Community Value' nomination form to Bradford Council and started a petition to gain support from the community to keep the field.
A meeting is due to be held on 26th March 2020 at 6pm in Keighley Town Hall by the Keighley Area Committee for the nomination to be considered.
We have now received advice that the council will allow the community time to fundraise to enable the field to be purchased when it does come up for sale. Therefore we have set up this page, as a registered charity, to start the fundraising to keep the field along with The HIve and MUGA for use by the people of Silsden and looked after by The Hive Silsden CIO.
All donations received will go to the purchase of the field off Elliott Street and to support The Hive Silsden CIO to meet the charity aims and objects.
