Story

The Humane Research Trust is a Registered Charity encouraging and supporting new medical research which does not include the use of animals, with the objectives of advancing the diagnosis and treatment of disease in humans.

The Trust encourages scientists to develop innovative alternatives to the use of animals and so eliminate the suffering of animals which occurs in medical research and testing; in this and other ways the Trust also fulfils an important role in educating the next generation of researchers.

In particular the Trust supports research involving donated human tissue which it believes fulfils the best ethical and scientific justifications for investigations into human conditions.

The Trust seeks the dissemination of the results of this research for the benefit of the scientific community and the public, and the stimulation of interest in research which is not dependent on animals.

In summary, the Trust focuses upon HUMAN MODELS FOR HUMAN DISEASES which is to the PERMANENT BENEFIT OF BOTH PEOPLE AND ANIMALS.
