Informal Network is a non-profit founded to support under-represented groups in the workplace. Focusing on individuals in the early to mid-stages of their career, the organisation hopes to break down the visible and invisible barriers which prevent certain groups from achieving their professional dreams. At Informal Network, we believe everyone should achieve success based on their hard work and ingenuity, and not be prevented from doing so because of their gender, sexuality, race, faith, disability or class.
The organisation was set up so that individuals from under-represented groups could support each other in making progress where legislation, corporate agendas and minority reporting have failed. By sharing information, being effective allies and building connections we hope to level the playing field and open up professional opportunities. We also aim to act as a collective voice for our community and push for greater progress in achieving real diversity in the workplace across the UK.
