Thomas Perrett is raising £1,500 for The Lauren Page Trust
About
Thanks for visiting and learning more about the Lauren Page trust. Any contributions that you can afford would be hugely appreciated and help me considerably in the training process for this enormous challenge. I’ve done a couple of half marathons in my time but nothing that required the level of training that I’m going through at the moment in preparation for 26 miles. So far I’ve encountered blisters on top of blisters, dodgy knees, old hip operations playing up, and a load of lost sleep trying to fit the training in. This is all of course nothing compared to the work that The Lauren Page Trust do, which is to raise money to further the work of Consultant Obstetric Physicians who deal with women who have serious health problems during pregnancy often resulting in premature births. They also support the work of Neonatal Units within the Greater London area in the form of research, specialist staff and equipment. I was introduced to the charity through my uncle John Courtney, who was very close to The Lauren Page trust and encouraged both my brother and his sons, my cousins, to run last year. After a long battle with cancer, John is unfortunately no longer with us, so to run for his favourite charity is less of a challenge and more of an honour. Thanks, Tom
