Suicide killed 6,507 people in the UK in 2018. Men are 3 times more likely to die by suicide than women, with men aged 45 to 49 being most at risk. It’s also the single biggest killer of young people, taking more lives than heart disease,
cancer and road traffic accidents. You might think that only someone with medical training could help a person considering suicide. But everyone, everywhere can play their part to help prevent suicide. The ZSA Foundation is raising money to
support initiatives that promote suicide prevention.
