About
Since taking up running 4 years ago at age 70 (!) my mum Fawzia has done 3 runs for charity. She has finally roped me (her daughter Mimi) in to join her for the next adventure. Mum and daughter team are currently training and will be running the 10K Vitality Run in London on May 2nd. This is to raise much needed funds for Brighton based organisation mASCot (of which I am also a director). mASCot is an amazing parent-led network of over 1200 families that supports young autistic people and their families. 2 out of my 3 kids are autistic, and the whole family is very proud to be a part of the mASCot community. mASCot provides a broad and innovative range of events and activities to support parents and their autistic youngsters and also works tirelessly to advocate and improve health and education services for autistic and neurodiverse young people in the city. Mum and I are up for doing what we can to help mASCot continue to do its incredible work - hence the run on 2nd May. mASCot doesn't get any state funding at all and relies 100% on fundraising efforts. Please do contribute whatever you feel you can and help us to help mASCot. Thank you for visiting our Givey page. When you make your donation through Givey, the Charity receives 100% of the donation. Your details are safe with Givey and donating is completely secure. Whatsmore, they never share your email address with any third parties except the Charity you donate to.
