Goan-origin opera singer Oscar Castellino is joining hands with musicians from UK’s only blind orchestra, Inner Vision Orchestra to record songs in Konkani and they need your support. The Orchestra’s music director, Baluji Shrivastav OBE invited Castellino to perform with the orchestra at the Commonwealth Christmas Concert 2020 and Castellino suggested he would sing something in Konkani. Watch here. It was an instant hit with the worldwide audience and received up to 50,000 views across all social media within a week. Goans around the world have suggested that Castellino continue to record more songs in Konkani. To enable Castellino and the blind musicians to perform and record more Konkani songs, donations to the Baluji Music Foundation are welcome. (Gift Aid can be claimed on these donations). Baluji Music Foundation is a UK-based charity supporting blind musicians. Update: Oscar Castellino and Baluji Shrivastav are aiming to release a version of O Holy Night in Konkani before Christmas. Any early donations will help make this possible.
