Simon Lacey is raising £1,000 for Youth Concern
About
Local runner and long-standing charity supporter Simon Lacey has announced that he will run the 2026 London Marathon in support of Youth Concern, the independent charity that supports young people aged 13–25 across Aylesbury Vale, Buckinghamshire. After entering the ballot for many years, Simon has finally secured a place in the London Marathon. He will line up with thousands of runners on Sunday 26 April 2026, using the world-famous event to raise vital funds and awareness for Youth Concern who run a Drop-in Centre on Whitehill Lane, a counselling service, and supported accommodation for homeless 18-25 year olds. Simon has been a committed supporter of Youth Concern for many years. He says running for the charity is a natural extension of that relationship. “Youth Concern plays a crucial role for young people in Aylesbury Vale, often when they need it most,” said Simon. “I’m proud to be running on the charity’s behalf and to help raise funds that will allow them to continue their life-changing work.” Hannah Asquith, CEO of Youth Concern, welcomed Simon’s decision to run for the charity: “We are incredibly grateful to Simon for choosing to support Youth Concern through such a huge personal challenge,” she said. “The funds he raises will make a real difference to young people across Aylesbury Vale, helping them feel safe, seen and supported to live with confidence, purpose and possibility.” Thank you for visiting our Givey page.
