Children and young people's wellbeing in Herefordshire

The CLD Trust was established in 1994 to provide counselling to children and young people in Herefordshire.

The need for mental health support has never been so great. The CLD has seen a surge in referrals and children in need of support with their emotional health in recent years, particularly since the Covid Pandemic. All of our counsellors are trained therapists and the CLD is accredited by the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, meaning that we we work to the highest ethical standards.

Alongside our counselling services, we also run a project called Strong Young Minds, which provides early support to children and young people up to the age of 26. Over the last few years, Strong Young Minds has gained an excellent reputation for providing flexible and innovative support to young people who may struggle to access formal counselling. So much more needs to be done. There remain many young people and children who need our support. We are so grateful for your donations, which can help us provide an increased number of sessions to children and young people who need it most, or can help to develop creative approaches to offering support, enabling us to reach out to those young people who may be reluctant to seek out support they need.

We are not a large charity. We have no team of fundraisers. We rely upon donations to enhance our services and improve our reach beyond the statutory minimum. Our small size also means that you can be assured that all the money we receive goes directly to the services we provide. Thank you for your support . It means so much.
