Putting the T first
About
Trans Pride Brighton and Hove has been running since 2013 and providing a host of events where trans, non-binary, genderqueer, gender non-conforming and intersex people, their friends, allies and family can meet and have an amazing time in a fun and safe space. 2019 will be our seventh year and we’re bringing you even more than we have in previous years with sports, live music, spoken word, community groups, food and merchandise. Trans Pride Brighton and Hove feels it’s important to remain grassroots and we don’t believe in corporate sponsors. We bring all of our events to you using a few very small grants, some profits from the sales of t-shirts but mostly it comes from you. Please donate anything you can, no matter how small, and help us out. This year, the park event will be held on the 20th July 2019 but we have a load of events planned for the week leading up to the park event, including a games night, a film night and swimming. For the first time ever we’ll also be hosting a 5km Fun Run on Sunday 21st July in the morning, after which we’ll wind down at the Sunday picnic. This year we’ll also be hosting the annual Trans, Non-Binary and Intersex conference, so you help is needed more than ever. As a grassroots, non-commercial community event run entirely by unpaid volunteers, we depend on donations, grants and community contributions to secure the infrastructure we need for Trans Pride Brighton and Hove to happen each year. Please spread the word, and donate if you can, to support us in our mission to make Trans Pride Brighton 2019 the event our community deserves. Trans Pride Brighton & Hove is a registered charity in England & Wales (number 1162738). Our mission is to promote equality and diversity, advance education and eliminate discrimination against trans, intersex, non-binary, gender-variant and gender-queer people for the public benefit by raising awareness of the issues affecting this community (in particular by organising and staging an annual Trans Pride festival).
